WSBR Elections 10.02.11
With the impending elections of the WSBR Board of Directors on Sunday, October 02, 2011, we have been receiving many questions about this process. This newsletter is an attempt to answer these questions, and provide useful information to the League families.
First of all, we encourage everyone to get involved. If you have some fresh, new ideas you would like to share, and if you would like to volunteer some of your time to help improve the League, please consider running for a Director’s spot on the Board. Most of all, we would like to see as many families as possible come out to vote for your baseball and softball representatives. The meeting begins at 4:00 P.M., and will be held at the Winter Springs Civic Center at Sunshine Park.
Our Board of Directors consists of 11 Directors. The top 11 vote getters at the election will be given a Director’s spot on the Board. At the following Board meeting in November, these 11 Directors will decide, by majority vote, who will handle which duties for the following one year term. The duties are divided into the following 11 positions: President, Secretary, Treasurer, Registrar, Player Agent, Equipment & Uniforms Manager, VP of Education and Compliance, VP of Fund-raising, VP of Volunteers, VP of Baseball, and VP of Softball. Also, if you have any questions about a certain position, or the Board of Directors in general, feel free to contact any of the current Board Members.
